Marcia has been painting for over 35 years and is just beginning to show her 2-D work. She studied painting and drawing at a small art school called Group 212 in Woodstock, NY in 1967-68. Studying painting was the basis of her training in color work for which she has become so well known through her weavings. Although never showing any 2-D work previously she continues exploring color and shape through this medium.
